President Biden created quite the stir earlier this week when he lashed out at Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves for their lifting of mask mandates and setting the stage in their respective states for businesses to be able to be fully open and operational again.
“The last thing — the last thing we need is Neanderthal thinking that in the meantime, everything’s fine, take off your mask, forget it. It still matters,” Biden stated when asked about the actions of the two southern-state Republican governors. “It’s critical, critical, critical that they follow the science.”

Abbott appeared on “Fox and Friends” Thursday morning and was asked right out of the gate by co-host Brian Kilmeade about what Biden said. In true Texas fashion, Abbott proceeded to turn Biden’s argument around on him and explained what “Neanderthal thinking” actually is:
Abbott also hit out at Biden on the Twitter machine yesterday for essentially enabling a possible COVID outbreak at the border thanks to his lax immigration policies:

“The two things, Brian. First, it obviously is not the type of thing that the president should be saying. But, second, he kind of said it on the worst day he could have, because the same day he said that in Texas, the Biden administration was releasing illegal immigrants into our communities who had COVID. The Biden administration was spreading COVID in south Texas yesterday because of their lack of constraint of testing and quarantining people who come across the border illegally. The Biden administration was exposing Texans to COVID. That is a Neanderthal type approach to dealing with the COVID situation.”

Abbott also hit out at Biden on the Twitter machine yesterday for essentially enabling a possible COVID outbreak at the border thanks to his lax immigration policies:
Democrats have accused Abbott and other Republicans in the state of lying about COVID-positive illegal immigrants being released into Texas, but it’s an established fact, and one that – to date – Joe Biden doesn’t have an answer for:

Democrats have accused Abbott and other Republicans in the state of lying about COVID-positive illegal immigrants being released into Texas, but it’s an established fact, and one that – to date – Joe Biden doesn’t have an answer for:
More than 100 illegal immigrants who tested positive for the coronavirus — after their arrival in Texas since late January — have been released by the Border Patrol into the Lone Star State and are free to travel to other parts of the US, according to reports.
Felipe Romero, a spokesman for the border city of Brownsville, told Fox News that they are telling the migrants who tested positive to follow Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines to quarantine and maintain social distance, but that Brownsville doesn’t have the authority to stop them from traveling to the rest of the country.
He said the 108 positives account for 6.3 percent of the total migrants who received rapid tests at the city’s main bus terminal, a program that began on Jan. 25.
Some of the migrants described to Noticias Telemundo Investiga how they were tested at the border and then allowed to hit the streets despite a positive result for the coronavirus.
