Babbalucci and Escargot
I've had escargot with no shells. It was cooked in a delicious butter and garlic sauce and you would never recognize it as snails. I really love French cuisine with all of their rich sauces.
My mother used to make babbalucci in the most delicious tomato sauce I've ever eaten. We always had lots of Italian bread to sop up this sauce.

The sauce has mint in it. Yes very good . I have not had it in years

I haven't had it either. I don't know how to make it. My mother was a much better cook than I am. Thank God I have her recipe for meat balls.
Can you even buy live snails today?
